This is a concept phone from Synaptics; the Onyx. It might never come into production being a concept. It has a ClearPad touch screen. The Onyx phone is not the first to miss the buttons. It has special features like you can answer a call by just placing the phone to your cheek or type messages by swiping fingers off the screen. You can close apps by drawing an "X" on the screen. The company plans to sell the technology to mobile phone manufacturers.
They expect to see this technology used in the cell phones released later this year. Perhaps you can expect to see this in the iPhone.
