Overclockers Club took a look at the Samsung SyncMaster 173P LCD Monitor. Here is a quote from the review: "Everyone has heard of LCD monitors, many own them and the rest of us envy their desk space, but what makes an LCD monitor so desirable? Are they an improvement over CRT? Well, Samsung's monitors are among the best in the world, so the standards are being set high today as we dive into the world of LCD monitors. Today we'll be looking at a brand new LCD monitor from Samsung that has not yet been released, the SyncMaster 173P. The SyncMaster 173P was built with the following three things in mind; Slim, Simple, and Stylish. This monitor is one slick piece of work. From the silver bezel, to the beveled edges and trim, to the simple, understated but sleek fashion, this monitor has good looks. However, good looks can only go so far, want to know how the SyncMaster 173P stands up against fast action games?"

Fill your home with sound, not stereo components. Keep your music collection at your fingertips, not in countless CD cases. Change the way you experience digital music. For $349, iPod Hi-Fi delivers crystal-clear, high-quality sound in a clean, compact design. Hear, hear.

Where did the stereo go?

Just slide your iPod(1) into the built-in Universal Dock to turn on and tune in to digital music as you’ve never heard it before. From pumping bass to bright treble, iPod Hi-Fi delivers natural, room-filling sound. Close your eyes and you’d think you were listening to a huge stack of speakers. But iPod Hi-Fi measures just 17.0" x 6.6" x 6.9."

Virtuoso performance

As versatile as it is compact, iPod Hi-Fi incorporates thoughtful touches that make playing your music pure pleasure. Use the included Apple Remote to control music playback from anywhere in the room. Charge your iPod through the iPod Hi-Fi dock while you play music. Or take your show on the road courtesy of D-cell battery(2) power. All that makes iPod Hi-Fi pretty extraordinary. Just like iPod.

This is a concept phone from Synaptics; the Onyx. It might never come into production being a concept. It has a ClearPad touch screen. The Onyx phone is not the first to miss the buttons. It has special features like you can answer a call by just placing the phone to your cheek or type messages by swiping fingers off the screen. You can close apps by drawing an "X" on the screen. The company plans to sell the technology to mobile phone manufacturers.

They expect to see this technology used in the cell phones released later this year. Perhaps you can expect to see this in the iPhone.

Aigo A215 offers an extended feast to the music lovers; thanks to its 50 hour battery life. These 50 solid hours of playback are offered without cutting out a solid piece of your savings. The A215 doesn't playback videos but goes out-n-out to provide you with almost unlimited music. The player sports three lines of LCD display and can be recharged via USB port.

Aigo's A215

The player design is quite acceptable; company sure deserves being commended for literally keeping the player portable. The player supports MP3 and WMA files. It surprisingly claims the 50 hours of playback only with regards to MP3 playback. If your collection is of WMA, expect around 35 hours which still isn't too bad. The player lacks an FM tuner. The Aigo A215 has a capacity of 2 GB and is priced at around $132. No details as to when this simple player will hit the markets.

Logitech may have just the good speaker system you re looking for your iPod. The AudioStation isn't all that much cheaper than the Hi-Fi system from Apple, but it does look good. It also promises a maximum sound pressure level of 110dB and a frequency response of 36Hz to 23 kHz plus/minus 3dB.

Scythe XCLIO A380 ATX is a PC case from Scythe Corp, Japan. It has an LED-lit 10-inch fan up front that looks like a jet engine. Though the fan may seem too big, at its lowest speed it will, along with the side-mounted twin, put out just under 28dBA of sound. Crank both the fans up to 1000rpm and you can overclock to your heart's content, especially with the more-efficient and cooler-running Intel Core processors.

There's plenty of room inside for drives and such, with a standard complement of drive bays, with five 5-inch bays and a 3.5" bay, along with seven 3.5" shadow bays. There are external connections for a couple of USB 2.0 ports as well as a FireWire port. Shipping next week in Japan for just $130.

The NafNaf Hyp MP3 player is another refreshing design for a portable MP3 player. It can play cassettes/CDs/MP3s and has an AM/FM radio reception. It also bundles a remote with it. It has a circular LED display and can also display ID3 tags. The CDs are loaded by a motorized tray. The inbuilt 2 watt speakers pump out the music from the spinning CDs or the tuner. The odd part is that the player also supports the ancient cassettes.
